III.5 Transmission and Data Reception Display
The TRANSMIT / RECEIVE display is normally used to transmit in water the last
command initiated by the operator. The TT801 opens automatically the
TRANSMIT/RECEIVE display after a valid selection through:

sub-menu
•
DATABASE/LOAD
sub-menu (refer to section 0)
The TT801 opens a TRANSMIT/RECEIVE window such as in the following examples:

The display sums up the type of instrument to be remotely controlled, the command and
associated parameters, the TT801 receiver channel setup and the expected data.
Note
The slant range posted up by TT801 in “DISTANCE” mode is derived using a sound
speed in water of 1500 m/s.

Note
The acronym ‘STD’ for a FSK transmission means that standard IXSEA timings are
used. The ‘Transmit/Receive’ algorithm for a remote control unit is described in
appendix A.
