If the pressure on the suction side is higher than that
on the discharge side (Fig. B).

The liquid surface on the discharge side liquid is
higher than that of the suction side, but the
difference between the two levels is 5 m or less (Fig.
C).

The load pressure (pipie resistance, discharge pump
head, etc.) applied to the pump is 0.13 MPa
{1.3 kgf/cm 2 } or less.
<Note on installation of check valve>
• Install the check valve at the edge of the discharge side
connecting tube. It must be least 1 m away from the
pump .
• The connection port of the CA type check valve can be
mated with not only the tube but R1/2 and R3/8 threads.
Cut off the unnecessaly section with a pipe cutter.
(For applicable pump types, see 'Accessories' on page
52.)
• Besides the CA type, the CB double-ended type
(optional item) for connection to braided tube is
available.
• A back pressure valve (optional item) can be used in
place of the check valve. For details, can Iwaki.
