LabelPrinter is the queue name.
IMC matches the name in the hosts file.
BINARY_P1 is the EasyLAN Wireless service name. Use TEXT_P1
instead of BINARY_P1 for text files.
sd is the spool directory.
3 Create the spool directory. The
lpd
spool directory is usually located in
the /usr/spool directory. To create a new spool directory, use the
mkdir
command. For example:
mkdir /usr/spool/lpd/ LabelPrinter
4 Print using the standard
lpr
command:
lpr –PLabelPrinter filename
5 For AT&T based UNIX systems, such as SCO, use the standard
lp
command:
lp –dLabelPrinter filename
Configuring for HP-UX
Note: The configuration for HP Distributed Print Services and for earlier
versions of HP-UX is slightly different than described in this section.
1 Start the SAM program in GUI mode.

Double-click Printers and Plotters .

Double-click HP Distributed Printer Services .

Double-click Physical Printer .
5 From the Actions menu, select Add Physical Printer with Network
Interface . A form appears.

In the Supervisor field, enter any name, such as
print
.

If you have not already created the printer name, which is the name of
the print queue, you must perform these steps:
a Open a different terminal or console.
b Open the HOSTS file (located in /etc/hosts).
