Wireless Network and Security Console Commands
These commands let you configure and display Wireless Network and
Security parameters.
Wireless Network and Security Console Commands
Command
Description
cl nw bs
Clears the BSSID value (set with the
set nw bs
command) so EasyLAN Wireless uses the SSID
settings instead of a specific access point.
cl nw ss
Clears the SSID value (set with the
set nw ss
command) so EasyLAN Wireless connects to any
access point.
set nw apden
density
Set to medium or high if you have many access
points within range of EasyLAN Wireless. Where
density
is
low
,
med
for medium, or
hi
for high.
The default is
low
.
set nw auth
type
Sets the WLAN (wireless LAN) authentication type.
Where
type
is
open
,
shared
,
ttls
,
leap
,
peap
,
or
psk
. The default is
open
.
set nw bs
macaddress
Sets the BSSID value. This overrides any SSID
setting so EasyLAN Wireless connects only to the
specified access point. (EasyLAN Wireless does not
roam to other access points.) Where
macaddress
is
the MAC address of the access point you want to
connect to.
set nw certcn
name
Sets the EAP common name of the certificate on the
primary authentication server. If the common name
is NULL (send
set en certcn
with nothing after
it), all certificates are accepted. Where
name
is any
string of alphanumeric ASCII characters. The
default value is NULL.
set nw certcn2
name
Sets the second EAP common name. Where
name
is
any string of alphanumeric ASCII characters. The
default value is NULL.
set nw certexp
exponent
Sets the EAP certificate exponent value. The default
is 65537.
set nw certkey
key
Sets the authentication key used to verify the root
certificate in the certificate chain provided by the
authentication server. Where
key
is any string of
alphanumeric ASCII characters. To set to NULL,
send
set en certkey
with nothing after it. The
default key is NULL. For more information, see
“Creating the Authentication Certificate Root Key”
on page 44.
set nw ch
nn
Sets the WLAN ad-hoc channel number to be used.
This value is ignored in infrastructure mode. Where
nn
is a channel number 1 to 11. The default is 11.
