Getting to Know the System
The following section provides more information about the components that can make
up an AdvisorOne system.
System Operation
The AdvisorOne system is always monitoring the sensors and devices that are
connected to the panel. Every time a sensor is activated, it sends a signal to the
AdvisorOne panel. The status of system components can be checked even when the
system is disarmed.
The AdvisorOne system enables users to do much more than arming and disarming.
Users can use applications to control lights, locks, and thermostats in the house. Users
can also check news, weather, and sports from the AdvisorOne system.
System Components
An AdvisorOne system consists of multiple components. The AdvisorOne panel is the
main component used to control and monitor the system. Optional Advisor
TouchScreens and mobile devices can also be used to control the system. The
following sections include information about the different system components.
AdvisorOne Panel
The main system component is the AdvisorOne panel. This panel can be
used to arm/disarm the system, create an emergency alarm, check the
status of the system and sensors, and change system settings.
Advisor TouchScreen
Advisor TouchScreens can be used as system add-ons to control the
system in the same way as an AdvisorOne panel. The instructions in this
document apply to the AdvisorOne panel and Advisor TouchScreens.
Mobile Devices
A mobile device, such as a tablet or smartphone, can be linked to an
AdvisorOne system. When linked, the mobile device can be used to arm or
disarm the system.
