Blank LCD Display Panel
Symptom: The LCD display panel goes blank and the system
will not respond to the keyboard or to moving the
pointing device.
• If the LCD Off feature has been
activated in the PowerTool power
management system, press one of the
buttons of your pointing device to
reactivate the LCD display panel. Refer
to page 5-4 for more information about
LCD Off.
• The LCD display will also be blank if the
UltraBook has shut down automatically
due to low battery capacity or user
inactivity. Refer to Chapter 5 for more
information on Power Management.
• A blank LCD display may also indicate a
system failure if the system does not
behave normally after shutting down
and restarting.
Battery Operation
Symptom:
Low battery warning occurs when the workstation
is started or shortly after power-up.
a. Connect the AC adapter, shut down the system
according to the instructions on page 3-10, and
recharge the battery for 3 hours, then try using
the UltraBookIIi again.
