7.5 T9 BoPoMoFo input mode
T9 BoPoMoFo mode provides the ability to input Traditional Chinese characters by entering
the phonetic spelling of the character. In this implementation T9 disambiguates the phonetic
spelling as it is entered and generates a candidate character list from which the user may
make selections.
[Example Screen]
If you grant identity numbers to Chinese Sets in the candidate area according to the
selected (inverted) BoPoMoFoMo string so that you can select the Chinese character,
press[ Select soft key], [NAVI-DOWN],[*]or[SEND]
[Key Function Table]
[Select soft key] grant identity numbers to Chinese Sets in the candidate area
according to the selected (inverted) BoFoMoFo string so that you
can select the Chinese character.
[Ok soft key]
accept the string entered on the editing area, and then turn to
next menu or screen.
[Clear soft key]
1. clear a character of the string entered on the editing area.
2. clear a character on the Bopomofo string if there are Bopomofo
strings in the Bopomofo area.
[NAVI-LEFT]
1. move the cursor to left direction by a character on the editing
area.
2. move the cursor to left Bopomofo string if the Bopomofo area is
not blank.
3. page up the Chinese Set if there are Chinese Sets in the
candidate area.
[NAVI-RIGHT]
1. move the cursor to right direction by a character on the editing
area.
2. move the cursor to right Bopomofo string if the Bopomofo area is
not blank.
3. page down the Chinese Set if there are Chinese Sets in the
candidate area.
[NAVI-UP]
1. move the cursor to previous line on the editing area.
2. come back to Bopomofo string input mode if there are Chinese
