25.2.1 Parameters
FROM PANEL
<any key>, 6 Printer Settings, 2 Printer Setup, <code>, / ,
or <any key>, 8 2 <code> /
You can select the print channel you wish to activate on the control panel RS232 port with or without
a serial printer or on-board thermal printer. Once you have setup a print channel on the RS232, you
can set the communication protocol parameters.
Press keys and on the first line to
select the type of output for the events.
Press ESC to confirm and step back to
the previous menu.
If you select “Type print RS232” the
protocol parameters appear:
Press keys and to scroll the
parameters list.
Press keys and to select values.
Press to confirm and step back to the
previous menu.
Press ESC to quit without saving and
step back to the previous menu.
25.2.2 Parameters
Printer presence If enabled, each event generated by the control panel or received
from other control panels in the network will be sent to the RS232
port.
Print events from The control panel will print its own events and any events received
from other control panels, in accordance with the specified priority
(level of importance).
Baud Rate Printer baud rate (bps)
Parity N=no parity bit, E=even, O=odd
Stop bit Number of Stop bits
Data bits Number of data bits per packet
XON/XOFF Type flow control
Add Line Feed Add the ASCII Line Feed character (or NewLine) at the end of each
event string (ASCII hexadecimal character 0A, decimal 010).
No printer The control panel will not print the events but will save them to the
log.
on RS232 Port The control panel will printout the events on the printer connected to
the motherboard (refer to the Installation Manual paragraph 4.1.1 The
motherboard components), in accordance with the specified priority
(level of importance). The system structure represented in the
SmartLeague application shows the component: Printer on RS232
port.
