Programming the control panel 43
The status of unspecified zones will remain Unchanged. The status of a zone can be forced to Pre-
alarm, Alarm and Evacuate.

Editing texts
FROM COMPUTER
Go to SmartLoop System, Control panel x, System Programming, Additional messages
This option will allow you to edit the texts for the Alarm, Supervisory, Early Warning, Fault, Pre-alarm
and Evacuation events and also for the Sprinkler.
If the operator presses key 1 when one of the previously-mentioned events is signaled on the display,
the texts will appear on the control panel display. The texts should help the operator during various
conditions (Alarm, etc.), and should indicate the necessary actions to take (for example, for the
Sprinklers active event, the message could be: “Close the mains water valve in front of East EXIT”).
Once you have edited all the texts, associate them with the respective events or the Sprinklers active
signal.

14.3 Setting the Timers

Go to SmartLoop System, Control panel x, System Programming, Timers
This option will allow you define up to 32 timer intervals (e.g. 13.00 to 14.00), dates (e.g. 25-12-
2006) or special days (e.g. Sundays and days off). The timer can be included in a group equation and
can contribute to the activation of an output. The activation of a timer can trigger direct actions (e.g.
Force to Night mode) or indirect actions via groups (e.g. Activate a zone signal).
