  3. Function Descriptions of Replacement Parts

3.1 Replacement Parts

For the numbers in the parentheses at the left of part names, refer to the description given in
the same Item No. in “3.2 List of Replacement Parts”.

3.1.1 First Category Replacement Parts

(101) ASC-02PKG

The ASC-02PKG has Video input/output
terminals, Audio input/output terminals, and RS-
232C input terminals and outputs a video input
signal to the ASM-02PKG. This board generates
voltages used by the ASM-02PKG.

(102) ASM-02PKG

The ASM-02PKG has a main CPU on it and
controls the whole unit. This board processes all
the video signals and outputs them to ASO-
02PKG.

(103) ASO-02PKG

The ASO-02PKG is an interface between
components in the unit. This board processes all
the video signals and outputs them to the Optical
Engine. This board has a sub-CPU on it and
controls the unit during the Standby mode.
