2.12 Wire the Forced Door Relay
The Forced Door Relay Output alerts personnel that the door was opened without authorization. For this feature to operate you must
wire a dedicated door contact switch to the door terminals on TS6 (door contact switch input) as shown below. Remember you must
remove jumper JP1
for the door contact input to operate. If these door contacts are opened without a valid access or REX, the Forced
Door Relay energizes immediately. It remains energized until either a valid code is entered or card presented to the Front End Reader,
a valid code is entered on the Max 3 Module or the Forced Time (command 45) expires.
The diagram below shows how to switch positive power (V+) to an alarm device. The Relay is rated to handle 1 Amp of current at
either 12 or 24 Volts AC/DC. Alarm device(s) are not included with IEI equipment.
Programming the Forced Door Time:
The command sequence belows shows how to program the Forced Door Time. The default value is 10 seconds.
