2.5 Wire an Electric Door Lock to the Main Relay of the Max 3 Module
The locking device is connected to terminal strip TS1 as shown in
the diagram on the right. The two diagrams below show how to
connect both a Maglock and an Electric Strike using an external
power supply.
For either locking device, positive voltage (V+) from an external
power source is connected to the relay common terminal (C).
When using a Maglock, connect the lock's positive side to the
normally closed (NC) terminal and the negative side to negative on
your power supply. When using an Electric Strike, connect the
lock's positive side to the normally open (NO) terminal and the
negative side to negative on your power supply.

Programming the Main Relay Time:
The command sequence below is used to change the Main Relay time. The default value is 5 seconds.

NOTES:
You must use an external power supply to power your
lock.
The relay is a
FORM C DRY CONTACT
, which
means there is
no
output voltage on the relay contacts.
When using AC voltage, polarity does not matter.
