2.10.3 Analog Outputs
There are four Analog Outputs that source 0 to +5 Vdc to control external
analog devices or circuits. Maximum load is 10 Kohms. Each output has
independent Gain and Offset factors that can scale the Analog Outputs to
match most physical devices.
2.10.4 Analog Inputs
There are six Analog Inputs with programmable input ranges of
±
10,
±
5,
+10 and +5 volts for measuring DC voltages. Each channel has independent
Range, Gain, Offset and filter settings to adjust the Analog Inputs to the
measured parameter. The Inputs are continuously sampled and averaged
to filter out noise. Input impedance is 10 Kohms and the maximum input
voltage is
±
15 Vdc. The user should filter the input as necessary and limit
the input to
±
12 Vdc.
2.10.5 Temperature Inputs
There are four thermocouple inputs for type J thermocouples. Connect the
thermocouples to the mating connector with the FE (+) lead to the +TC pin
and the Red CN (-) lead to the -TC pin. Use a solder with at least 90% tin.
Short out unused inputs with a short jumper. To minimize thermal drifts,
insulate the unit and the thermocouple connections on the mating connector
so they stay at the same temperature. Do not install the board or module over
a hot spot.
2.10.6 External Reset Input
The unit can be reset by pulling the -ExtRst input to ground. Although the
unit has an internal supervisor circuit that resets the unit at power turn-on
time, the user may want to reset the unit when the host chassis or system
reset.
