MEMORY OPERATION
■
Programming channel names
Each memory channel and the call channel can be pro-
grammed with an alphanumeric channel name for easy
recognition and can be indicated independently by channel.
Names can be a maximum of 6 characters— see the table
below for available characters.

momentarily.

” and memory channel number blink.

Rotate
[DIAL]
to select the desired memory or call chan-
nel.

Push
[BAND•MODE]
to select the memory name pro-
gramming condition.
• Frequency readouts disappear and a cursor blinks.

Rotate
[DIAL]
to select the desired character.
• The selected character blinks.

Push
[SET•LOCK]
to move the cursor to the right.

Repeat steps

until the desired channel names
are displayed.

Push and hold
[S.MW•MW]
for 1 sec. to program the
name and exit the channel name programming condition.
