Switching on the 

ProSense™

 cryoablation system 

Before operating the system, make sure the following conditions are in place: 

•

 

Ultrasound or other appropriate imaging system is available for monitoring the 
medical procedure. In case of open surgery or superficial cryotherapy, no external 
imaging device is required. 

•

 

The mechanical power switch is OFF. 

•

 

The cryohandle, hose and cradle are all clean and dry. 

To Switch on the 

ProSense™

 cryoablation system:  

To switch the system ON, turn ON the mechanical button at the back of the 
system, the touch screen will turn on and the following screen will appear:

Wait for the Main Menu screen to load.  

Make sure the time is set according to local time zone before executing a cryotherapy 
procedure, as explained in 5.2.5.4.
