Using the printer
After the calibration and once the software is installed there are two ways to print a
sliced STL model:
Printing directly from your computer
The Gcode is handled by the computer. The computer sends every new layer of code
after the printer has completed a layer.
Power the printer by plugging in the power plug.
- Connect the printer to a computer with a micro USB cable.
- Start Repetier Host 0.95
- Click “Connect” and wait until you see “Connected”
- Click “Load” and choose the STL file you want to print from the folder “SAMPLES” in
the install package you unpacked.
Once the file is loaded, you can center, move or rotate the object on the printbed. You
can see the outcome in the 3D preview window. Notice that before slicing your object
preview is purple. You can also change the scale of your object. When you have
modified these settings to your liking, you have to slice the object into layers of Gcode.
Select the Slicer tab and click Slice with Slic3r. If you want to edit the settings of Slic3r
click on properties, edit the settings and save them into a profile. The settings of Slic3r
can be found in the chapter Print settings and tips. Then Slice the object again.
You can see the results of the slicing in the 3D preview window. The green lines are

Entering standby mode will interrupt your print! An interrupted print can not
be restarted.
