Calibrating printer and first use
IMPORTANT ! Before printing you will need to check if your printer is fully calibrated. A
basic calibration has been performed at the factory, but more advanced users can find
a very complete guide in the support section of our website.
A few important preparation steps are necessary to check
if your printer is ready to
print. In this example Repetier Host 0.95 will be used but this can be done with most
3D printing software.
1.
Connect the printer to a computer with the micro USB cable.
2.
Start Repetier Host 0.95
3.
Make sure the printer is powered on and click on ‘connect’.
4.
You should now see: ‘Printer connected’ or ‘Printer is now
online’.
5.
If the printer fails to connect, read “Connection Failure” on
page 27
Manual control and checking the machine :
6.
By pressing the +x, +y, +z, -x, -y, -z buttons in the manual control tab you can
move the heated bed and the extruder. Move it by small adjustments (+1 or
+10 max) to see if nothing is blocking the movement. Do not click the
home buttons, read the next page first !

Note : A printer that leaves our factory is calibrated to print within standard
specifications. A quick check of the correct homing of the axis and the bed
level needs to be performed after shipping.
