Installing the drivers
Windows 32bit/64bit
In the package you downloaded from our website you will find a folder “Drivers”. This
folder contains the drivers for the ICARUS 3D M2 series printer. Unpack the archive
on your desktop or to a location of your choice.
Connect the printer to the computer with a micro USB cable. Don't be alarmed,
Windows will prompt for drivers or it will attempt to find drivers online. It will probably
fail to find the drivers.
We prefer to install the drivers manually. Go to Start and right-click on “Computer”.
Select properties and then choose Device Manager.
You will find two devices in the COM & LPT ports section that have been flagged
because Windows could not find a driver. If Windows did somehow find drivers for the
devices, just continue in the same way as if no drivers were found.
Right-click on the first device and select “update drivers” or “install drivers” and direct
the computer to the folder “Drivers” on your desktop or on the location where you
unpacked everything. Choose the folder DRIVERS and make sure the include
underlying folders box is checked. Install the drivers. If you are prompted about a
digital signature, select continue. Repeat the procedure for the second flagged device.
In the Windows device manager you can check if the device has been properly
detected and installed. You should see “ICARUS 3D M2 USB COM PORT” & ICARUS
3D M2 USB COM BUS.
Right-click on the ICARUS 3D M2 USB COM PORT device and choose properties.
Now you can see on which COM-port the printer has been installed.
The printing software needs to connect to this port to communicate with the
printer.
