Heating up the heated bed and extruder
Start heating the heated bed and the extruder by clicking on both‘extruder and heated
bed buttons. You can check the temperatures of the extruder and the heated bed in the
status bar on the bottom of the Repetier Host window. T stands for the nozzle
(extruder) temperature and B for the heated bed temperature. When the heated bed
is warming up, you will notice a red glow (led) from underneath the bed.
Make sure filament is present in the extruder and provide a few centimeters of
clearance between the nozzle and the heated bed (do this by clicking on ‘+z 10’ a few
times. Once the extruder (heat or T) reaches the right temperature (185°C for PLA and
235°C for ABS) click on ‘extrude’. After a few clicks you should see melted filament
come out of the extruder.
If you run into trouble follow the instructions on page 20-21.
