CURRENT CONSUMPTION IN BATTERY MODE
In this chapter, all values for angular velocity and ac-
celeration refer to one magnetic period, i.e. one north-
south pole pair sequence = 360
°
electrical. A velocity
of one pole pair per second relates to 360
°
e per sec =
1 Hz
e
= 60 ele. periods per minute.
The current consumption of the iC-PVS can be config-
ured by parameter A_MAX. Besides the current con-
sumption, this parameter sets the maximum angular ac-
celeration (from complete halt) supported by the iC-PVS
in the respective configuration. The maximum applica-
tion specific deceleration (braking) is not relevant for
the selection of parameter A_MAX. The relationship
between maximum acceleration and current consump-
tion is shown in Table 44. For accelerations below

, the typical current consumption is be-
low 10

A.
For applications where only sporadic motor movement
is expected during battery supply, Table 44 mainly de-
fines the current consumed by iC-PVS. Additionally,
Table 45 gives typical values in case of enduring move-
ment at a certain angular velocity during battery supply.

Note:
The values for the maximum permissible angular
acceleration refer to one magnetic period and have
to be divided by the number of magnetic periods per
rotation.
