Attention:
To
avoid
breaking
the
DIMM
retaining
clips
or
damaging
the
DIMM
connectors,
open
and
close
the
clips
gently.
4.
Make
sure
that
both
of
the
connector
retaining
clips
are
in
the
fully
open
position.
5.
Turn
the
DIMM
so
that
the
DIMM
keys
align
correctly
with
the
connector
on
the
system
board.
6.
Insert
the
DIMM
by
pressing
the
DIMM
along
the
guides
into
the
connector.
Make
sure
that
the
retaining
clips
snap
into
the
closed
positions.
Attention:
If
there
is
a
gap
between
the
DIMM
and
the
retaining
clips,
the
DIMM
has
not
been
correctly
installed.
In
this
case,
open
the
retaining
clips
and
remove
the
DIMM;
then,
reinsert
the
DIMM.
7.
Replace
the
DIMM
air
baffle,
if
one
was
removed
from
the
blade
server
in
order
to
install
memory
DIMMs.
8.
Install
the
Memory
and
I/O
Expansion
Blade,
if
one
was
removed
from
the
blade
server
in
order
to
remove
a
memory
DIMM
(see
“Installing
an
expansion
unit”
on
page
27).
9.
Install
the
blade
server
cover
(see
“Installing
the
blade
server
cover”
on
page
25).
10.
Install
the
blade
server
into
the
BladeCenter
unit
(see
“Installing
the
blade
server
in
a
BladeCenter
unit”
on
page
22).
