13 Automatic Parking Brake Manual
Override Handle (Optional) The truck may be equipped with an optional Automatic Parking Brake
(APB). The APB will apply a brake to the traction motor after lift truck
stops. See the
Operating Procedures for a more detailed descrip-
tion on how the APB works.
If the lift truck loses power and has to be towed, there is a manual
override handle that will disenable the APB. The manual override
handle is located underneath the floor mat and floor plate and moun-
ted to the front bulkhead. To apply the manual override, remove the
floor mat and floor plate and pull the handle up.
14 Steering Wheel The steering wheel controls the movement of the steer wheels.
Rotate the steering wheel clockwise to make a right turn, and coun-
terclockwise to make a left turn.
