Input Installation Settings

There are several installation settings available for the autopilot,
and the default settings are suitable for many vessels. Each menu
setting is important and must be accurate for maximum autopilot
performance.

Connected Equipment:

It is important to enable

devices that are connected to the autopilot control
head and CPU, such as the compass, rudder system,
and attached accessories.

•

Compass Models:

For more information about how to

enable various compass types, see

Section 4,

Compass Settings

Alarms:

Set the Rudder Alarm or the Oﬀ Course Time

Out in the Installation Mode.

•

Expansion Cards:

When an expansion card is installed

in the CPU, the corresponding settings will be added to
the Installation Mode menu, and you must enable
additional attached equipment (such as a
GyroCompass).
