12.4.2 Uploading the RPU Patch
Do as follows on the router to be upgraded.
Run:
patch
load
[
slave | all
]
The RPU patch is uploaded.
When a patch is uploaded, the system checks that the patch version is the same as the system version. If
the two versions are not the same, the system prompts that the patch uploading fails.
12.4.3 Activating the RPU Patch
Do as follows on the router to be upgraded.
Run:
patch
active
[
slave | all
]
The RPU patch is activated.
A patch can be activated only when it is correctly uploaded and is in the deactivated state. When a patch
is activated, it becomes valid immediately. After the board is reset, however, the patch does not remain
valid.
After a patch is activated, you need to determine that the patch works normally. If the patch
does not become valid, you need to stop running the patch. If the patch becomes valid, you
need to run the patch.
12.4.4 Running the RPU Patch
Do as follows on the router to be upgraded.
Run:
patch
run
[
slave | all
]
The RPU patch is run.
A patch can be run only after it is activated. Running a patch means that the patch is activated
permanently and the patch remains valid after the board is reset.
12.5 Stop Running the RPU Patch
12.5.1 Establishing the Configuration Task
Applicable Environment
After a patch is activated, you need to determine that the patch works normally. If the patch
