Power Supply module labels
When Power Supply modules are identified in error messages they are labeled 1, 2, 3 or 4. Looking at the
rear view of the disk enclosure:
• Power Supply Module 1 is the top-left power supply module.
• Power Supply Module 2 is the bottom-left power supply module.
• Power Supply Module 3 is the top-right power supply module.
• Power Supply Module 4 is the bottom-right power supply module.
B9, SAS cable hardware error
There is an error on the SAS hardware cable. Verify that the SAS cables are seated correctly and are of
the correct length. The maximum supported length for SAS cabling is 2 m. If the error persists, contact
HPE Support.
BA, SAS cable unsupported by HPE
The SAS cable is not supported by HPE. Use one of the SAS cables supplied with the disk enclosure, as
described in this guide. If the cable has been lost, purchase a supported SAS cable.
C7, System shutdown - over temperature
The disk enclosure is in thermal protect mode and has shut down the disks. Shutdown the StoreOnce
System, power off the disk enclosures. Power up the disk enclosure and server. If the error persists,
contact HPE Support.
D0, Absent Power Supply Module 3
Verify that the power supply to Module A, Drawer 1 is seated and cabled correctly. If the error persists,
contact HPE Support.
D1, Absent Power Supply Module 4
Verify that the power supply to Module B, Drawer 1 is seated and cabled correctly. If the error persists,
contact HPE Support.
D2, Absent Power Supply Module 1
Verify that the power supply to Module A, Drawer 2 is seated and cabled correctly. If the error persists,
contact HPE Support.
D3, Absent Power Supply Module 2
Verify that the power supply to Module B, Drawer 2 is seated and cabled correctly. If the error persists,
contact HPE Support.
D5, Communication error - Power Supply Module 1
There is a communication error to Module A, check the cabling. If the error persists, contact HPE Support.
D6, Communication error - Power Supply Module 2
There is a communication error to Module B, check the cabling. If the error persists, contact HPE Support.
