There are also 2 x 2 m SAS cables for use if the positioning of the disk enclosure requires
a cable that is longer than 1.0 m. These cables should only be used to connect from the
RAID controller on the server to the disk enclosure; do not use them to connect one disk
enclosure to another. (These cables are not shown on the drawing.)
NOTE:
There is also a 1U supporting shelf, which is not illustrated. The 1U supporting shelf protects the
StoreOnce 5500 System from the weight of the disk enclosures. Its recommended location varies
depending upon the installation scenario that has been selected, see
16.
