Display assembly
NOTE: The Dream Color display assembly and touch screen is spared as a whole unit assembly only. The
non-touch display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level only. For non-touch display assembly spare
part information, see the individual removal subsections.

To remove the display assembly and access the LED display assembly subcomponents, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29 ).
5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 41 ).
6. Remove the thermal module (see Thermal module on page 38 ).
7. Remove the display cable (see Display cable on page 45 ).
8. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive (M.2) on page 31 ).
9. Remove the WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 33 ).
10. Remove the system board (see System board on page 46 ).
Remove the display assembly:
1. Disconnect the antennas from the WLAN module (1), and then remove the antennas from the routing
path around the fan (2).
