REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF COMPONENTS

Front Fan Removal (Optional)

Disconnect power from the system (

page 68

), remove the access panel (

page 74

), and lay the

workstation on its side with the system board facing up

Disconnect the connector

from the header on the system board.

Unsnap the fan housing from the chassis and lift it out of the workstation.

Remove the fan from the fan housing by applying outward pressure on the fan housing while lifting
the fan away.

To install the front fan, reverse the previous steps. When installing the fan, it must blow toward the rear of
the chassis, so be sure that the airflow direction arrow on the side of the fan housing faces the rear of the
chassis.
