Insert the plug end of the security cable into the lock (1) and push the button in (2) to engage the
lock. Use the key provided to disengage the lock.

Computer Cover
CAUTION:
To reduce risk of damage to optical drive sensor, make sure you closely follow the
computer cover removal instructions.
1.
Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for Disassembly on page 34
).
2.
Remove the two screws on the rear of the computer
(1)
that secure the cover to the computer
chassis.
3.
Slide the computer cover forward about 1.3 cm (½ inch), then lift it off the unit
(2)

To install the computer cover, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
When removing the cover, be careful not to damage the small switch located on the front of
the chassis as shown in the following image.
