NOTE:

If you replaced the hard drive, use the Recovery Disc Set to restore the operating system,

software drivers, and any software applications that were preinstalled on the computer. When the
restore process has completed, reinstall any personal files that you backed up before replacing the
hard drive.

To reassemble the computer, reverse the removal procedure.

Chassis Fan

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (

Preparation for Disassembly on page 34

).

2.

Remove the computer cover (

Computer Cover on page 38

).

3.

Position the computer with the rear facing toward you.

4.

Disconnect the fan control cable from the system board. The connector is labeled CHFAN.

5.

Remove the two screws that secure the fan to the chassis, tilt the top of the fan towards the inside
of the chassis, and then lift it out of the chassis.
