Cisco Nexus networking 

This section describes how to configure a 3-node HC380 appliance with a pair of Cisco Nexus 5672UP 

switches. 

 

Network cabling 

Use the following table as a guide to configure the network cabling. The table provides an example of the 

10GbE networking connectivity to Cisco Nexus 5672UP switches. Connectivity between the switches is 

provided by an upstream device to avoid the need for any spanning-tree protocol support. This 

configuration on the Cisco Nexus 5672UP switches will be covered in this section of the document. A 

Cisco virtual Port Channel configuration could be used to connect the switches to an upstream device as 

well, but that configuration is not shown in this example. 
Note that the connections from the switches to the HC380 nodes are not supported to be in a port 

channel/virtual port channel configuration.
