Troubleshooting 79

On the ESXi server that is the management VM, browse to the datastore1 datastore.

Locate the cloud folder and download the Enterprise and Foundation zip files to a temporary location

on the management appliance.

Unzip the Enterprise and Foundation zip files.

Use vSphere to upload the cs*.ova files (cs-mgmt, cs-cloud, cs-sdn, cs-monitoring, cs-update,

cs-enterprise, cs-ovsvapp).

Foundation or Enterprise zip files can not be unzipped

Symptom

When you attempt to upload OVA images, the Foundation or Enterprise zip files can not be unzipped.

Action

On the ESXi server that is the management VM, browse to the datastore1 datastore.

Locate the cloud folder and download the Enterprise and Foundation zip files to a temporary location

on the management appliance.

Unzip the Enterprise and Foundation zip files.

Use vSphere to upload the cs*.ova files (cs-mgmt, cs-cloud, cs-sdn, cs-monitoring, cs-update,

cs-enterprise, cs-ovsvapp).

Storage is not available for OVA images

Symptom

When you attempt to upload OVA images, storage is not available.

Action

On the ESXi server that is the management VM, browse to the datastore1 datastore.

Locate the cloud folder and download the Enterprise and Foundation zip files to a temporary location

on the management appliance.

Unzip the Enterprise and Foundation zip files.

Use vSphere to upload the cs*.ova files (cs-mgmt, cs-cloud, cs-sdn, cs-monitoring, cs-update,

cs-enterprise, cs-ovsvapp).

Issues creating first management appliance

Symptom

The installation utility is unsuccessful at creating the first management appliance.

Explanation

This issue can occur if the installation utility is not able to create the deployer.conf file that is used by

csstart.exe.

Action

Navigate to the %CS9INSTALL%\Foundation folder.

Locate the csstart.exe file.

Edit the deployer.conf file to match the configuration.

Launch csstart.exe start --eula-accepted
After about 10 minutes the first management appliance is available.

Reset the EULA so that on first login you are prompted to accept the license.
