Configuring the system 45
Following a successful configuration using OneView InstantOn, you are prompted to install HC380
Management UI. If you do not receive a pop-up window, check the task bar to see if the window appears
minimized. If so, maximize the window.
The HC380 Management UI deploys and configures OneView as a part of its first-time setup. It does not
support using an already configured Oneview appliance.
1.
When the configuration dialog appears, provide a password for the administrator account (between
8 and 50 characters long) and accept the end-user license agreement.

Specify the network addresses to be used by HC380 Management UI.
a.
Enter an unused IP address into the
IP address
field.
b.
Enter the subnet mask value into the
Subnet mask
field.
c.
Enter the gateway value into the
Gateway
field.
3.
Provide the vCenter administrator username and password.
4.
Click
Submit
.
You may have to wait several minutes, up to 60 minutes or longer, depending on how many nodes
are being deployed. The user interface may seem unresponsive, but you must allow the processing
to continue. Do not attempt to close the windows by clicking the x button.
After several minutes, a dialog appears that notifies you that the network configuration is complete
and provides a hypertext link to HC380 Management UI.
