Remove the display hinge outer cover

. The display hinges, inner and outer covers, and

end caps are included in the Display Hinge Kit, spare part number 641193-001.

NOTE:

Substeps a through e apply to an HP EliteBook 8570p Notebook PC

computer model. See substeps f through i for display hinge removal procedures for an HP
EliteBook 6570b Notebook PC computer model.

Remove the two Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws

(1)

that secure the display hinge covers to

the display assemblies.

Slide the display hinges toward the inside of the display enclosure

(2)

to remove them. The

display hinge covers are included in the Display Hinge Kit, spare part number 647677-001.

Remove the eight Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screws

(1)

that secure display hinge assemblies to

the display panel.
