Adaptec Easy CD
Creator

You must close all other
Windows programs before
installing Adaptec Easy CD
Creator.

Installation is only required
when Easy CD Creator is not
pre-installed or if you had to
restore your computer to the
original factory condition.

Internet Explorer 4.01 or
higher must be installed on
your system before you can
install Easy CD Creator. If
Internet Explorer is not found
on your system, you are
prompted to install Internet
Explorer 5 before continuing
with Easy CD Creator
installation.

Steps to Install Adaptec Easy CD Creator
Software

Caution:

Before installing Adaptec Easy CD Creator, you

must

uninstall any other CD recording software. This includes deleting all
shared files if prompted to do so.

1. Insert the Adaptec Easy CD Creator disc into the CD-RW,

DVD-ROM, or CD-ROM drive and complete the following
steps to install the Adaptec Easy CD Creator software.

Note:

You must follow these instructions to install both Easy CD Creator

and Direct CD.

If Autorun is enabled on your system, the Adaptec
Installation window is displayed automatically and you can
skip steps 2 and 3.

2. From the Start menu, select

Run

.

3. Type

e:\setup

(substitute “e” for the appropriate drive letter

of your CD-RW, CD-ROM, or DVD-ROM drive).

4. From the Adaptec Installation window, select

Easy CD

Creator

and the desired language.

5. Follow the installation instructions that are displayed on the

screen.

6. When the installation is complete, click

Finish.

The Adaptec

Installation window is displayed again (repeat steps 4-6 to
install DirectCD).

7. Click

Exit

to exit the Adaptec Installation window.

8. Restart your computer when prompted so the changes take

effect.
