EXCHANGE ASSEMBLIES
Factory rebuilt assemblies that can be exchanged are listed in the following Table. Exchange,
factory repaired and tested, assemblies are available only on a trade-in basis; therefore, the
defective assemblies must be returned for credit.

REPLACEMENT PARTS
Parts shown on the illustrated parts breakdown drawings in this chapter are listed in the
associated parts listings for the drawings. Parts are listed by number-keyed designations
known as reference designators. Match the appropriate reference designator on the drawing
with the same reference designator (Ref. Des.) in the associated parts list for information on
that part. The total quantity for each part on the drawing is given as well as the part number
and check digit (CD).
To obtain replacement parts, address an inquiry to the nearest HP Sales and Support Office.
The order must include the part number, check digit and part description. Also include the
plotter model and serial number on the parts order.
ILLUSTRATED PARTS BREAKDOWN DRAWINGS
Field Replaceable parts and assemblies for the plotters are shown in the illustrated parts
breakdown drawings in this chapter. Use the drawings to locate and identify parts that you
wish to order. Then use the associated parts lists for the drawings to obtain parts ordering
information. Use the major assembly identification drawing on the next page to quickly de-
termine which drawing the part you need to identify is located on.
LABELS AND CABLES
Labels used on the plotters are listed at the end of this chapter. A cable identification drawing
is also provided at the end of this chapter should you need to order a cable for the plotter.
