4-hole wing
Adjustable wings are available for shallow soil
or overall cutting of the plants.
The working depth of the wings can be adjusted
in relationship to coulter tip.

Levelling discs
Levelling discs are installed behind the tines to
prevent ridge formation with all operating condi-
tions, working depths and travel speeds.
The discs distribute the thrown up soil and level
the ground in front of the packer.
Levelling discs, spring loaded (optional)
The working depth must be set in the field,
see chapter on depth setting. It depends on
the soil conditions, amount and type of harvest
residues, working depth of the tines and the
working speed.
Maintenance
The bearings are maintenance-free oil bath
bearings.
However, the mechanical seals are sensitive if
water has entered followed by extended idle times.
The mechanical seals may become stuck from
rust and damage the O-ring. Oil can escape then
and the bearing may be destroyed.

Check the discs regularly for clearance, oil
leaks and free rotation.
¾
Do not wash the bearing points with high-
pressure cleaners.
¾
Spray the bearings with corrosion protection
agent or similar prior to extended idle times.
¾
Before taking back into service turn the discs
by hand and check for free rotation.
Packer
In the working position the machine runs on the
packer. Due to the weight of the machine a high
consolidation and a fine crumbly, level surface
is achieved.

With cohesive soils the packers may become
blocked with soil and thus become considerably
heavier. This may overload machine compo-
nents. Roads may be soiled during transport.
NOTE

Clean packer the packer regularly during work
when soil attaches to it.
¾
Generally clean the packer before starting
road travel.
