Pixel Shape The pixels can be displayed as squares or circles. The
smooth map function interpolates the data to give a
smoother image-like map.
Image options Select R,G,B filters to be applied on the microscope image.
Tools Measure dis-
tances
When selected, click on two points on the map to display
the distance between them.
Zoom When selected, this option allows you to select an area to
be enlarged on the map. Click on a point to define the first
zoom-area corner; drag, and click to define the second cor-
ner of the zoom area. The zoom area is then displayed in a
new window.
Utilities Print map Offers various options for printing the map and statistical
data.
Save map
Save the map as a picture.
Export data
Save the raw data of the current map in a text file.
3D map
The 3D map is a three-dimensional representation of the scan
results. Click on the
3D map
item to open the
3D Micro-
scope Scan
window (Fig. 27).

The
X
and
Y
values are the coordinates, in pixels, of the decay locations.
