The setting tool is ready to set the next

4 .5 MANUAL SPINDLE OUT
Should the set spindle out time
be too short or if a fastener with
a longer thread than the fastener
with which the setting tool was set
up was used, the fastener can be
unscrewed manually.
Precondition:
• A fastener was set immediately beforehand
and the fastener has not yet been completely
spindled out after the end of the setting
process.
1. Press the “Arrow up” key and press the trigger
at the same time.

The fastener is spindled out.
2. Release the “Arrow up” key and the trigger
as soon as the fastener has been completely
spindled out.

The setting tool is ready to set the next
fastener.
4 .6 EMERGENCY MODE / THREADED
MANDREL OR THREADED SLEEVE
IS TILTED
If the threaded mandrel / threaded
sleeve is tilted and cannot be
unscrewed, the emergency mode
can be started on the setting tool
to manually remove the threaded
mandrel / threaded sleeve from the
setting tool.
Precondition:
• The unlocked starting mask / working mask is
displayed on the screen.
• Threaded mandrel / threaded sleeve has tilted
in the setting tool.
• A W/F 5 open-jaw wrench or socket wrench is
available.
1. Press the “Arrow up” and “Arrow down” keys at
the same time.

2. Unscrew the union nut from the front sleeve by
hand in anti-clockwise direction.
3. Press the OK key.

The tool moves the threaded mandrel or
threaded sleeve back into the front end
position.
4. Unscrew the nosepiece by hand in anti-
clockwise direction and remove.
5. Screw the union nut onto the front sleeve again
in clockwise direction.
6. Hold the tool with one hand.
7. With the other hand, unscrew the clamping
sleeve by hand in anti-clockwise direction and
remove.
8. Press the battery release button and remove
the battery from the setting tool.
9. Remove the threaded mandrel / threaded
sleeve from the clamping sleeve using a W/F 5
open-jaw wrench or socket wrench.
10. Inspect the threaded mandrel / threaded sleeve
for damage and replace with a new threaded
mandrel or threaded sleeve, if necessary.
11. Assemble all the parts again.
12. Discard the used fastener.
13. Insert the battery into the setting tool again.

The setting tool is ready for operation.
5 Maintenance and repair

• If the insulation is defective,
switch off the power supply
immediately.
• Work on the electrical system
may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
• Keep moisture away from live
parts.
• Keep the system closed.
• Do not bypass or deactivate
fuses.

Parts flying out of the machine
Serious injuries or material damage
• Do not point the machine
towards persons.
• Disconnect the machine
from the power supply before
changing tools or accessories.
• Clamp the workpiece securely
before starting work.
