1 .4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The general safety precautions in the following
chapter include all general safety precautions for
power tools that have to be listed in the operating
instructions according to the applicable standards.
They may therefore contain precautions that are
not applicable to this tool.
1 .4 .1 General safety precautions for
power tools
Read all safety precautions, instructions,
illustrations and technical data provided with
this power tool.
Failure to observe the following safety instructions
can result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injuries.
Safety at the place of work
• Keep your place of work clean and well
illuminated!
• Do not work with the power tool in potentially
explosive atmospheres where there may be
inflammable liquids, gases or dusts.
• Keep children and other persons away when
working with the power tool.
Electrical safety
• The plug of the power tool must fit properly into
the plug socket. The plug must not be modified.
Do not use an adapter plug!
• Avoid physical contact with earthed surfaces
such as pipes, radiators, cookers, refrigerators.
• Keep power tools away from rain or moisture.
• Do not misuse the connecting lead, e.g. for
carrying the power tool, for hanging up the tool
or for pulling the plug out of the plug socket.
• Keep the connecting lead away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts.
• When using the power tool outdoors, use only
extension leads that are suitable for outdoor
use.
• If the use of the power tool in a damp
environment is unavoidable, use a residual
current circuit breaker!
