occurs, the faults are displayed on several pages. The number of available pages and the
current page number are displayed in the top right field; i.e., "2/3" means page 2 of 3 pages.
The last leg and previous leg reports indicate the LRU faults previously stored in memory to-
gether with the date, time, and ATA number. Datailed fault information in this context can be
obtained from the troubleshooting menu. The ground report reveals faults which occurred on
the ground. More detailed fault information can be obtained in associated submenus.
Ground scanning displays faults that are currently detected by continuous monitoring. Sub-
menus that permit a detailed fault display are available.
Pressing the RETURN key reverts to the next higher menu level in each case.
The faults recorded in memory (Last Leg/Previous Legs Report) by continuous monitoring
and BIT are summarized in the Table of Fault Messages, Fig. 113.
In addition to the indication of faults on the BITE system display, a further fault display is pro-
vided by means of the LEDs on the front panel of the Transceiver.
The evaluation of all these fault messages as part of the fault isolation process results in ref-
erences to modules that may be defective, which can subsequently be replaced to confirm
the failure, and repair the Transceiver.
