Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) Setup

In the Preset Programming area, click the drop-down arrow (see
). A list
appears. By default, the list contains:
Preset 1, Preset 2, Preset 3 and so on (to 127, total)
TIP!
Preset 1 may have already been set by an installer, to be used after a session is
closed. See
Behavior of PTZ After a Session Closes
. Consult your site’s
installer or security officer before changing the first preset of a PTZ camera.

Click an item in the Preset Programming list.

If desired, you may rename the preset.

Set the camera pan, tilt and zoom values, as explained in
. You can also select continuous panning.

Click Save Preset. The camera pan position, tilt angle and zoom value are saved.

You have the option of immediately:
•
Setting up another preset. Repeat steps 4 to 8, using another preset in step 5.
•
Testing the preset. See
•
Setting presets for another PTZ camera at that site.

You have the option of running either:
•
. Click the Video tab, select a PTZ camera to test presets
with, and click PTZ. The PTZ dartboard controller displays.
•
A Live Session. Select or add a video stream from a PTZ camera. Click Enable
PTZ Control (
). The dartboard controller displays.
Select a preset from the drop-down list.
You can change the name by entering
one in the box. Click Save Preset when
you are finished programming.
