5. Installation and commissioning
5.1. General
The following points must be noted to prevent damages
in the lifting device during installation and commissioning:
• The installation work must be carried out by qualified
personnel in compliance with the safety regulations.
• The lifting device must be checked for possible dam-
ages prior to installation.
• The minimum submersion in water must be consid-
ered for level control.
• Protect the pump from frost.
• The power lines of the pump must run in a way that
hazard-free operation and easy assembly/disassem-
bly is possible.
• A dry run is strictly prohibited. We recommend level
control for this.
5.2. Fitting
Consequential damages, for example, due to flooding
of areas with problems at the pump, must be exclud-
ed by the operator with suitable counter measures
(e.g. alarm system installation, spare pump, etc.).
Drainage facilities whose lowest point of the odor
trip is deeper than 180 mm from the lower edge of the
lifting unit must be connected to the system via a
suitable pipe loop at least 180 mm long in accordance
with the standards. See installation examples!
All civil engineering, concrete and masonry work and
electrical connections must be carried out by spe-
cialist qualified in accordance with union regula-
tions.
Scope of supply
Underfloor collection chamber with compensating piece,
installation frame, tileable cover plate and installation fit-
tings. UFT version additionally with 2 pumps and control
unit.
Preparation of the collection chamber
Open the required inlets and the aeration / deaeration as
shown on the tank and then deburr the inside as well as
the outside.
Installing the collection chamber
1. Set up the tank horizontally and align it. Then connect
the inlets and vent pipe with a KG socket incl. seal.
The vent pipe (on site) is provided for connecting the
electrical lines in the excavation pit. The vent pipe
must be installed continuously rising.
2. screw the pressure line to the sewer connection to
the thread of the protruding G 1¼ thread nipple and
install it to the sewer connection or drain pipe via a
backflow loop, i.e. the line must be laid above the
sewer level. Please refer to DIN 12056 for the general
principles for the installation of lifting units.
3. After connecting the required pipelines, align the
Saniquick UF(T) 100 in the excavation pit and slurry
it with sand grain size 0-2. Before concreting, adjust
the compensation piece and the installation frame to
the finished floor height (OK installation frame=FFH)
and, if necessary, install a wall collar (accessory). If
the adjustment range is not sufficient, a commercially
available KG pipe DN400 with a maximum length of
500 mm can be used for shaft extension (see installa-
tion shaft extension below). During the work, the part
of the cardboard box covered with plastic can remain
on the cover with installation frame as a protective
cover to prevent dirt from entering.
4. Fix the tank and set it in concrete with the compensa-
tion piece, the extension (if used) and the wall collar.
Note! Do not set the installation frame in concrete.
Before laying the screed, align the installation frame
in the intended line.
5. After the screed has set, the thin-bed sealant (ac-
cessory) can be installed and tiled. Information on
sealants and adhesives can be found in the leaflet
“Bonded waterproofing” issued by the German Tile
Trade Association within the Central Association of
the German Building Trade (ZDB).
