Stainer Operator’s Manual
MAINTENANCE
General Information
•
DO
switch off the stainer before cleaning
•
DO NOT
use excessive amounts of solvent for cleaning
•
DO NOT
use metal scrapers or sharp objects to remove any residue as this will damage the
surface finish and paints.
•
DO NOT
use the system for purposes other than its intended function
•
DO
practice good housekeeping and maintain the system in a clean condition
•
DO
ensure that replacement fuses are of the correct specification (1 Amp x 250 volts time
delayed)
Routine Maintenance Schedule
Cleaning Procedures
The Compass Stainer is designed to properly function under recommended settings. Please use the
following instructions and cleaning procedures carefully.
•
Turn off the stainer when cleaning. The stainer should always be disconnected from the main
power supply when cleaning, particularly if flammable solvents are used.
•
Use only minimal quantities of cleaning solvent (such as glass cleaner) on an absorbent cloth.
Do NOT
use Xylene and Xylene substitute as well as other decolorizing agents that can
attack paint, plastic and other insulating materials. Do not use excessive amount of cleaning
agent while wiping down the surfaces.
•
Periodically clean the solution containers with 10% diluted bleach solution to minimize any
growth of fungus.

Clean the keypad and the display window with a lint-
free cloth.

Clean outside surfaces of system and lid with soft cloth.
Use cleaning detergent, if necessary.
