 Stainer Operator’s Manual

When import has completed, press STOP to exit the utility. Remove the USB drive from the port.

When the programs are imported, the first program (ThinPrep protocol) is ignored and all remaining 
programs (2-15) in the stainer memory are overwritten.

Password Implementation

Password

 

utility allows the user to set or change the password.

The Password menu allows you to set and change a 4-digit Password for the system. The system is 
shipped with no password set. A password of 0000 implies that the password use is deactivated.

To set a password, select the PASSWORD selection in Utility menu and enter the new password. The 
system prompts you to enter it again. If the numbers don’t match, an error message is displayed. If 
the two numbers are the same, the new password will be saved. 

It must then be entered correctly whenever the operator attempts to PROGRAM, or REVIEW a 
program or to enter the UTILITY mode. For operator’s convenience, once the password entry has 
been entered correctly, PROGRAM, REVIEW and UTILITY menus are accessible for a period of 5 
minutes without re-entering the password. For example, this allows the operator to review more 
than one program without re-entering the password over and over again.
