10.3 

Safety valve and pressure adjustment 

The integrated safety valve protects the system from excessive pressure and therefore 
controls the diversion of water into the bypass circle. Its setting is precisely adjusted 
and must not be changed normally. However, i

n case of unsatisfactory performance, 

check and adjust it if necessary. For this, remove the front cover of the MFU. The 
safety valve is mounted on the right side, above the pump.

handwheel, located at the 
safety valve, the output 
pressure of the system is 
adjustable up to the 
maximum of 5

. For 

this, the MFU has to be 
running in WATER-mode, 
with the jet-gun NOT 
actuated ! 

 

First, push the bow-shaped metal lever from horizontal into the full upper position 

(1)

The safety valve is now conducting pressure and water into the bypass. Only in this 
position, the pressure is adjustable by turning the green Handwheel 

(2)

 

Set the lever back to working (horizontal) position and 
check the new output pressure at the gauge on the front 
panel

. If necessary, repeat the process until the 

desired pressure is displayed.
