8.1 Cleaning the filter
The intake manifold of the system is equipped with a filter, which
holds back sand and finest dirt particles from pump and valves. If
external water has been used, the filter insert must be cleaned prior
to the actual flushing. If only clean water from the tank was used,
proceed to section
8.2 (below).

Remove the retainer ring (1) by several counter-clockwise rotations.

Pull the filter cap (2) downwards to open.

You find the filter insert (3) inside the now open housing.

Remove the filter insert (3) and wash it thoroughly with clean water.

Apply some silicone grease to the O-rings (5) of filter cap and insert.

Place the insert (3) into the cap (2) and close the housing (4)

Screw the retainer ring (1) back onto the housing (4). Tightening by hand is sufficient -
do not use tools.
8.2 Flushing
To flush the system, fill the tank or an external container with clean water.

If a water tank is used, set the lever of the ball valve into "Tank" position. For flushing
from external water source, set the lever to "External" position.

Start the MFU and let it warm up in STANDBY mode for about two minutes.

Take the jet gun from its holder, turn the ring for flow adjusting to the left until it stops
(position "SPÜLEN") and push the WATER button at the panel.

Actuate the jet gun for about 30 seconds or until only clear water comes out.

Switch back to STANDBY and let the engine cool down in idle speed.

Turn off the MFU.
