When connecting the VCR and satellite receiver using a Scart connector lead (Method A)
Controls
TV Screen
Turn on the satellite receiver and select a satellite
programme other than programme number 12.
Turn on the VCR.
Point the handset at the front of VCR, then
press
the MENU button.
Press one of the cursor buttons to select SAT
mode and then press the ENTER button.
The satellite control set-up menu appears on the
TV screen.

button to select “L1” or press the
button to select “L2”.
The satellite picture should now appear on the TV
screen.

Press the pause
button to enter your satellite
receiver brand.
If this type number is incorrect for your satellite
receiver, refer to table below. Enter the code using
the number buttons on the remote control
handset. After entering the numbers, the VCR will
transmit a control signal to the satellite receiver.

Press the stop
button.
If the programme number of the satellite receiver
changes to “12”, your satellite receiver can be
controlled by this VCR.
Press the MENU button
to
end programming. If the programme number
does not change to “12”, follow the next
procedure.

Press and release the play
button.
If the satellite receiver programme number still
does not change to “12”, press the play
button again. Repeat this step until the
programme number changes to “12”.
If your satellite receiver does not work after
entering the code shown, please try alternative
code from the table.
Note: With some satellite receivers, the
programme number may not change to “12” even
if the code is correct. Read the instruction manual
of your satellite receiver carefully and set up the
receiver correctly, then perform the above
operation.
After programming the system control code,
press
the MENU button
to return to normal operating
mode.
