Tape Analyzer (ATRS) automatically detect the type of tape used during recording.
ATRS will operate automatically if a new tape or a tape which first time used in this VCR is used for
normal recording or timer recording.

The menu, as illustrated will appear on the TV
screen.

in the menu to

(on).
Note:
• If you have specified Tape Analyzer – (off), ATRS
will not operate.
• If you have specified Tape Navi – (off), the ATRS
will function but data will not be stored.

Insert a new tape or a tape that has not been used
for recording in this VCR. The VCR will check and
recognise the type of tape used. Press the REC
button.
The OSD will display blinking message
**EXECUTING** for a few seconds.
Then, recording will start and ATRS will appear on
the left of the TV screen for 8 seconds.
During execute the Tape Analyzer, sound will
disappear for a moment.
