MOVIETEXT™
You can display a subtitles on the TV screen when
the VCR is playing back a tape with MOVIETEXT™
signal.
• The subtitle will disappear during
forward/reverse search or slow motion play.
• The subtitle may not appear correctly when a
tape with scratches or a poorly recorded tape is
played back.

Insert a cassette tape with MOVIETEXT™ signal
recorded.

Press the play
button to start playback.

Press the MOVIE TEXT button
on the remote
control.
The subtitle will appear after about 5 seconds on
the TV screen and change as follows:

Notes:
• Each time the MOVIE TEXT button is pressed,
the subtitle display status on the TV screen will
change as follows:
• Subtitle will also appear with external video
sources with MOVIETEXT™ signal.
• Subtitle will also appear with a tape dubbed
from another tape with MOVIETEXT™ signal.
• Subtitle cannot appear SUBTITLE OF TELETEXT
signal.
• For NTSC playback, the “CCI” and “CC2” will
not appear, but the subtitle will appear after a
few seconds.
